Thank you, Michael. It was a result of meeting a wonderful person on Twitter who introduced me to Thacker Pass. It was a head banger, there was so much to learn. Sadly, Max Wilbert and the native communities who fought this for over two years had a court injunction overturned a couple of days ago. Digging will commence. I don't know what the plans are for continuing the fight.

It was my pleasure and opened my eyes up to the serious problems mining lithium brings, both in environmental and human costs.

Red man’s wail crusted dry

Medicine wheel in motion

Time stretched over mountain tops

Secured into crevices of small events

Straining and tearing

As laughing eagle

Watches moments

Being unearthed from natural flow

Progress engulfs large aliments of history

And digests them into now

Named Ode to James Watt, SECRETARY OF INTERIOR under Ronnie Raygun who wanted to allow mining, timber harvesting and oil leases in our national parks.

Nice poem, so gestalt, is it your work? There is a greater state of awareness to be found, that only a handful have scratched the surface. We have managed to become clever at exploiting people and the planet, but made very little progress in wisdom and education. It's a deadly combination, action without conscience. Ah, the administration that attempted to call ketchup a vegetable in school lunches. As a liberal, at least I'm smart enough to know it's a fruit.

Yes, it popped out of my mind a long time ago when James Watt was the pernicious precursor to all the horror we see today. Thank you. You probably already know this but most do not, medicine wheels are not supposed to rotate.
