Thank you, Susan. The world changes for better or worse through the efforts and visions of a handful. I'm not so conceited or delusional to think my efforts will change the course of the future, but it's important to me to try to make a difference at any scale I can. Maybe with enough of us trying, a few of us in the "handful" will break through.

I don't think your writing is in vein. I am inspired, dismayed and pensive.... after which I take inventory of my own life and the small things that I do now and can do going forward. My vegan step-daughter has not eaten meat since she was 13 years old- now in her forties! She is a great influencer that is a role model to me. My three sons do what they can but are cynical. Two of my sons still in their twenties have little hope or trust that change will come about. The apathy disease can become contagious. I maintain hope but worry about the younger generation being overwhelmed by the challenges ahead.

Aa always, thank you for your thoughts!

Inspired, dismayed and pensive. Certainly those are some of my emotions, too. I often feel overwhelmed by the enormity of the challenges and scurrilous "leadership" that doesn't have the courage to recognize sustainability is our only choice. In one of my articles, I suggested that everyone needs to do something and some of us need to do more (much more). I am trying to raise awareness of stark realities and hoping some of my readers become ambassadors to my thoughts. Changing thinking and behavior is at the root of the #ClimateCrisis. Every one of us has the power to be an enlightening influence. Thank you for your own efforts.

Thank you for sharing your personal journey and your interactions with friends and family. The pun “I won’t get into my beef with” Jeeps made me smile.

Thank you for detecting a tiny bit of humor in what is otherwise, of course, a very serious subject. It's all so bizarre and crazy, it does make me laugh a little. That's probably not the best part of me. Shrug.

I understand your frustration and pain. We have to find ways to make it easier to talk about. I'm working on that with my stories. You are with your blog. We'll keep trying. TRYING is really all that's needed — it's the "not trying" that will destroy things.
