Geoff: Thank you. I always learn from your articles. I remember your Dad telling me about Betsy DeVos, when she served on the BOD of Kendall College of Art and Design, when he worked as President. Probably not an easy member to deal with!
I don't remember him saying anything specifically about her, but decided not to mention that he dealt with her. When they come after me, I don't want anyone else implicated! I'm glad you find my articles useful. I learn from the digging before I write them.
Just one thing I would add - most of the anti-Semitic slurs at the protests have been found to be agitators and not pro-Palestinian. There are thugs who are beating non-violent protesters and the police are standing by. It sounded like you may believe that the students protesting the genocide are the ones yelling hateful things. Perhaps I misunderstood.
Shortly after I posted this article, I found information indicating policing has been violent in some cases as well. This is not surprising, of course, given all the reports of violent policing over the years (and getting away with murder) out there. I read dozens of articles, but it wasn't clear to me if the antisemitic element was from agitators or in some cases an element of the student body, so you are correct, I didn't address that head on. Thanks for reading and the perceptive observation.
Powerful, Geoffrey. Your voice stands apart.
Thank you, Birgitte. Seems I have made this my job.
And what a valuable job. Excellent balance without losing the point as always.

Great post. So very sad and true.
